Synopsis: RTown Art Gallery announces a call for entry for its "Yeehaw" show. This exhibition invites artists to submit compelling and contemporary artwork. All media will be considered. The exhibition will be on display at RTown Art Gallery from June 1 through June 30, 2024.

 

Juror Information: Closed Jury.

Eligibility: Open to multigenerational artists based in Texas. All media will be considered. Wall art must be no more than 36 inches in any direction, including the framing or mounting. Sculptures must be no larger than 20" at base unless providing your own pedestal. The size given for works should be the framed size. Height must be given before width regardless of whether the work is a vertical or horizontal piece. The artwork may represent any subject matter. Accepted work must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Works on paper must be framed under plexiglass or glass—glass is preferred. All canvases must be wired and ready for installation. Please respect these eligibility requirements. 

 

Fees: $25 for one to five images.

• Submission Deadline: May 14, 2024 @ 11:59pm

• Notification of Acceptance: Tuesday, May 21st, 2024

• Artwork Due to RTown Art Gallery: Wednesday, May 29th, 2024

• Opening Reception: Saturday, June 1, 2024, 7:00–9:00 PM

• Exhibition Dates: June 1 – June 30, 2024

• Artwork Pick-Up: Wednesday, July 3, 2024, 11:00 - 6:00 PM

 

Requirements: Please submit images with the following specifications:

• 72 ppi

• 800 pixels on the longest side

• No borders around the image

• JPEG file format

 

Label your image files with a corresponding entry number, your last name, and the title of the artwork—if it is a long title, you may use a keyword or abbreviation (i.e. 01Baker_Homeplace.jpg).

 

Please include the following with your entry: Title, Medium, Scale (h x w inches), Date, Price.
