BIO
Tina is a Flower Mound (TX) based photographer, artist and Raku potter. As an Air Force "brat", she grew up moving all over the world with her family. At the age of 10, her Dad gave her her first camera and she has been fascinated with imagery ever since. Her sister in Louisiana is an award winning photographer and her brother in South Carolina has had his photographs published. Guess it runs in the family!
As her 3 sons grew up, she started exploring her creative energies. One of her life adventures was working as a tour director in Alaska for 4 summers which ignited her passion for photography. So photography has been her primary passion for the last 20 years.
A tireless traveler (Hawaii, Alaska, New Zealand, Europe, Iceland, Norway, Mexico, the Caribbean and most of America and Canada), she has won many awards with her unique images.
Tina is an active member of many art groups .....VAL (Lewisville), VAST (Denton), GAP (Grapevine), VAGF (Frisco), PAA (Plano), and the Craft Guild of Dallas.
STATEMENT
"I love color, natural light, shadows, textures, reflections and unusual images. One of my favorite things to do is to photograph a close-up of an object and challenge the viewer to guess the source of the image....always fun! (I do not photoshop my images...I prefer to present them in their original beauty.) Many of my creations are titled, but I invite the viewer to use their imagination and allow the photograph to speak to you...and your personal title will emerge..."
